USTDA Definitional Mission for Airport Expansion Projects in Mexico February 2008
aviatDesign, Inc. is pleased to announce the successful completion of a Definitional Mission report
for the United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA). The report’s aim was to analyze the potential
for airport development at three airports surrounding Mexico’s main Benito Juárez International Airport in
Mexico City in order to alleviate the currently experienced commercial and cargo air traffic congestion. The
three airports included in the report were San Luis Potosí, Puebla, and Querétaro Airports.
Baggage Handling System Analyses. El Dorado International Airport - Bogotá, Colombia January 2008
aviatDesign, Inc. has completed a Baggage Carousel Accessibility Analysis coupled with a Baggage Handling System
Analysis for El Dorado International Airport. As part of the analyses conducted, aviatDesign implemented several
baggage tug and cart simulations for the proposed Terminal 1 Avianca Airlines facilities using Simtra Pathplanne™
software. Additionally, a baggage handling system peaking and capacity analysis was conducted using PaxStar™
modeling software.
Cargo Aircraft Movement Areas Verification Report El Dorado International Airport - Bogotá, Colombia December 2007
In order to assist in accomplishing the near-term cargo development goals of OPAIN, Airis International Holdings LLC
(www.airis.com) contracted aviatDesign, Inc. to prepare a Verification
Report for the proposed Cargo Aircraft Movement Areas in order to determine the viability and feasibility of incorporating
"Option 3 / 4" as proposed by Airis as the primary alternative for cargo development at El Dorado International Airport.
Currently, aviatDesign is in the process of completing a second phase of the project which includes completion of airside
planning and design services.
