Description:
As part
of an overall terminal modernization program,
Asheville Regional Airport initiated an upgrade
of the terminal Flight Information Display System.
The project contracted included the preparation
of all technical design documents and preparation
of tender documents for all system components.
Services
Rendered:
Airport
consultancy and design services were rendered
for the implementation of a new Flight Information
Display System (FIDS) for the Asheville Regional
Airport. Services completed by aviatDesign, Inc.
included:
On-site analysis and assessment of the current
FIDS system including preparation of a detailed
Analysis and Assessment Report. The report outlined
information pertaining to existing FIDS locations
and cable drops, general airport layout and
technical description and analysis pertaining
to the functionality of existing equipment.
Preparation
of architectural location plans for all proposed
FIDS locations.
Preparation
of design alternatives for graphic display layouts.
Preparation
of architectural details for mounting of system
components.
Development
of graphic design details for all system displays.
Development
of technical specifications for all architectural
components related to the implementation of
FIDS.
