Description:
Aerocivil
/ Bogotá District of Colombia determined
to privatize the International / Domesitic Airport
which included various facilities and infrastructure
development for a 20-year concession period. The
scope of the concession includes the development
and operation of a new international passenger
terminal, modernization of the existing international
passenger terminal, new expanded Cargo facility,
enhanced landside improvements and a new airfield
/ apron expansion.
The Sociedad Futura El Dorado Nuevo Milenio consortium
was established in order to participate in the
tender bidding for the privatization of El Dorado
International Airport. The key members of the
consortium included Constructora Colpatria S.A.,
Mario Huertas Cotes, Siemens Project Ventures
GmbH and Dorsch Consult Airport GmbH.
Services
Rendered:
aviatDesign,
Inc. was contracted under Dorsch Consult Airports
GmbH to act as the Technical Project Manager for
the preparation of bidding documents. Specific
tasks carried out on behalf of Dorsch Consult
Airport GmbH for the Sociedad Futura El Dorado
Nuevo Milenio consortium included:
Project management and coordination of all technical
components carried out by all consortium members.
On-site
Assessment and Analysis of existing terminal,
landside and airside facilities.
Preparation
of a revised Master Plan Layout which outlined
all requirements stipulated in the Terms of
Reference (ToR) documentation.
Development of architectural Conceptual Design
documents for the new proposed international
terminal which included all requirements stipulated
in the ToR documents.
Proposed
recommendations for enhancing the existing and
new proposed international passenger terminal,
landside access and airside development.
Preparation of Development Costs for terminal,
airside and landside facilities.
Development
of terminal concession plan.
Preparation
of a Terminal Space Program for all functional
areas within the proposed passenger terminal
including the completion of Terminal Analysis
Report.
